PT-VME902A 32-bit VMEbus Repeater provides a convenient hardwareexpansion link for extending the full 32-bit data and addressarchitecture of VMEbus-based workstations to an external VME card cage.PT-VME902A allows the external VMEbus subsystem or card cage to appear asa simple extension of the internal VMEbus. It supports both VMEbusmasters and slaves in the external card cage, and is software-transparent. A recent lower-cost variation, PT-VME910, is identical toPT-VME902A, with the exception that it does not provide the hardware orsoftware isolation option, and is not available with the shielded cableoption.PT-VME902A features include high-performance VMEbus-to-VMEbus expansionsupporting both star and daisychain configurations external to theworkstation; and a buffered interface supplying drive to an additional,full-capacity VMEbus load configuration external to the workstation.
